TalkinQuantum is a learning platform for quantum computing. These Terms of Service explain the rules for using it. We've tried to write them plainly.

The short version: use TalkinQuantum to learn; don't abuse it; pay if you subscribe to Pro; understand that Quanta is an AI guide and can make mistakes; and know that we can't guarantee any particular outcome from using the platform.

By using TalkinQuantum, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TalkinQuantum at https://talkinquantum.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These terms apply to all visitors, guest users, free-tier users, and Pro subscribers.

If you are using TalkinQuantum on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Educational Purpose

TalkinQuantum is an educational platform. Its purpose is to help people learn the concepts and practical skills of quantum computing through interactive lessons, circuit simulation, and AI-assisted guidance.

Nothing on TalkinQuantum constitutes:

TalkinQuantum is a supplement to learning — not a replacement for university coursework, professional instruction, or formal certification programs.

3. Account Responsibilities

If you create an account on TalkinQuantum:

You may create only one account per person. Duplicate accounts may be removed.

4. Guest, Free, and Pro Access

TalkinQuantum has three access tiers:

Guest — No account required. You can try the circuit builder, simulator, and Quanta AI guide with limited chat. Guest usage is stored in your browser only; it is not preserved across devices.

Free — A registered account with no subscription fee. Includes access to the Basics and Intermediate curriculum, limited daily AI chats with Quanta, saved workspace, and learning progress synced across devices.

Pro — A paid subscription at $19/month. Includes unlimited AI chats with Quanta and access to all Advanced curriculum chapters.

We reserve the right to adjust the features included in each tier at any time. We will try to notify existing users when changes significantly reduce Pro features.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly at $19/month through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By subscribing to Pro, you authorize recurring monthly charges to your payment method.

Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy govern your payment relationship with Stripe.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

Refund policy

We offer a full refund on your first subscription payment if you request it within 7 days of the initial charge. After the first billing period, subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or in cases of billing errors or technical failures attributable to TalkinQuantum.

Cancellation: You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time through the billing portal, accessible from your account avatar menu inside TalkinQuantum. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain Pro access until that date.

Refunds: To request a refund, email support@talkinquantum.com with your account email and a description of the issue.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use TalkinQuantum only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not harm other users, the platform, or third parties.

You agree that you will:

8. Quanta AI — Limitations and Disclaimers

Quanta is an AI guide powered by a large language model (Claude, from Anthropic). It is designed to help you learn quantum computing concepts.

You understand and agree that:

9. No Professional Advice

Nothing on TalkinQuantum — including lesson content, Quanta AI responses, blog articles, circuit examples, or any other material — constitutes professional advice of any kind, including:

Using TalkinQuantum does not guarantee any educational credential, job outcome, academic placement, or financial result. Quantum computing is a rapidly evolving field and content on TalkinQuantum may not reflect the latest developments.

10. Intellectual Property

Platform content — All content on TalkinQuantum, including lesson text, interactive visuals, the circuit simulator, Quanta's system design, the TalkinQuantum name and branding, and the source code of the web application, is owned by TalkinQuantum's operator or licensed for use on the platform. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without written permission.

Your content — When you write code in the TalkinQuantum editor, design circuits, or submit prompts to Quanta, that content is yours. You retain ownership of the circuits you build and the code you write. We do not claim ownership of user-created circuits or code.

Quanta outputs — Responses generated by Quanta are produced by an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic). Ownership of AI-generated content may be subject to evolving legal standards. We make no warranty about the intellectual property status of AI responses.

11. User Content and Prompts

When you submit messages to Quanta or post content to the community area (if available), you grant TalkinQuantum a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content to provide the service to you.

You represent that:

We do not use your private Quanta conversations to train AI models.

12. Platform Availability

We aim to keep TalkinQuantum available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The platform may be unavailable due to:

14. Termination

By you: You may stop using TalkinQuantum at any time. To delete your account, email us at support@talkinquantum.com.

By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:

If your Pro subscription is active at the time of termination for cause, we may not issue a refund.

15. Disclaimers

TalkinQuantum is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

We specifically disclaim any warranty that:

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. In those jurisdictions, our disclaimers apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

16. Limitation of Liability

Attorney-review note: Limitation-of-liability clauses must comply with the law of the governing jurisdiction — Wisconsin, United States. An attorney review is strongly recommended before publishing this clause.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TalkinQuantum and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, including but not limited to:

In any event, our total liability to you shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to TalkinQuantum in the three months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or other conduct that cannot be excluded by law.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
